I wish I had a set for my 80 to put on in the summer. That big back window sure does make the car get hot in the 100+ degree heat in Texas. Talk about green house effect. I'll take dorky over sweating my butt off even with the AC working great!
I got a pop in tint for the rear glass, but for the summer weather I would like to have a rear window louver also. The retractable luggage shade is black as well as the molding which makes for a hot spot. I have seen 2 types of louvers, one made by Cragar and another type. Give me shade anyday...
Neil in Tenn
Nomad78SA (Neil) Actually when i get a chance this winter, i'll order a set form my local speed shop. There about $240.00 for the three piece ones. Company in Canada that still makes them. Asrta-Hammond is the name. There were several post three or four months ago on them. Might be able to go to the "SEARCH" machine at the beginning of the forum. Thanks, JCL "Sidepipes are the way"  :chevy
Here's a pic (or little white box with red X) of a set of swap meet louvers - just set on the back of the "nothing fancy"'77. If you love the look I have a set of new in the box Cragar louvers - both the used and new set are for the pre-'78's.
I've seen them on tunnel backs and big back window cars. IMHO, they look lousy on the big back window cars. Not my cup of tea, but they look better on the tunnel backs. I've seen two types on the tunnel backs: one set covers only the flat glass (my choice); the second type covers the area from sail panel to sail panel.
:)
RRENT--- COULD YOU GIVE ME THE MEASUREMENTS OF THE LOUVERS ?
I HAVE THE ECKLERS HATCHBACK CLIP ...THE ONE YOU POSTED THE ARTICLE FOR A WHILE BACK...YOU CAN E-MAIL ME AT ernie@tjs.com
