Default Intakes

Right now I'm running a Weiand 8000 witch according to Weiand is the same as their 8004.Summit has a stage 1 good idle to 6000rpm.Any better than what I already have? What do you suggest?

My engine is a mild 383 Edlebrock RPM heads,extreme energy 268 cam and a Jet Stage 2 Q-Jet carb.

I was running am RPM air gap on my 427 small block. I decided to try a Super Victor single plane, race ported etc. I put it on the dyno and lost quite a bit of low end torque with little gain in top end. My idle kind of sucked as well. I switched back to the dual plane and got my low end back. I have done a LOT of reading and research regarding intakes and have come to the conclusion that for street applications the Edelbrock RPM air gap gives the best of both worlds. I am also using a 2" 4 hole contoured spacer. I also gasket matched/ported to my heads.
