My friend just purchased a 65 chevellemwith a 327 and the Rockers on the driver side are hitting the valve cover, they are rubbing the side of it. We pulled the valve cover off and they don't look bent they just are sitting a little high? Any ideas?
If it's all original, it probably has press in rocker studs. You'll want to check to see if it's pulled itself out of the head. That's the reason all aftermarket heads have screw in studs.
Can he buy screw in studs and replace the stock ones? What is involved? CAn the engine recieve screw in ones with no mods? Should we replace the rockers as well. Also is it safe to drive it the way it is? Thanks for all the help.

No, the heads need to be drilled and tapped to use screw in studs. The heads will have to be removed for the machining.
