a few weeks back i lost my guage lights and my tailights. all fuses good, changed the headlight switch, didnt fix the problem. one thing i did notice when i lost them. they didnt come on when i left my house, but stopped for gas, got back in the car and they worked, but went out later and never came back. is there an electrical connection i need to check and if so what and where is it located. 72 model. thanks don
I think we talked about this before. There is a dividing place...you need to establish where your disconnect is.Put a test light on the 5-7 amp gauge light fuse, turn headlights on,rotate headlight ****,does the test light go bright and then dim as you rotate? If YES then your problems are beyond the fuse towards the gauge lights. If NO then your problems are from the fuse back towards the headlight switch.
thanks paul and dw. i'll give the light test a shot. paul, can you tell me where the grounds are located? thanks for all the help...don
Let us know what happened when you test at the inst.or gage light fuse. The common between the tailights and inst. lights is the tailight fuse but that fuse also feeds the front parking lights and you didnt mention them being out so I'm guessing you have 2 seperate problems.
