I thought I'd raise the flag about the forum's search function. I was looking for a specific post titled "Low Profile BBC EFI intake" and the only thing that would return the thread I was looking for was the single word “Profile”. Individual words like EFI, BBC or Low would not return the thread in question and the combination of words that I tried like “EFI intake” and “BBC EFI” would return a no match. "EFI intake" would return just one thread.
As it stands now those attempting searches will need to try many combinations to find the info they're looking for.
No I don't. Did you post a similar thread? If so I missed it.
If you're talking about the Low Profile thread it was me.
Also, if you could remember what section it was posted in would help a lot too. I'd like to help you find that thread. Also, if any kind of argument erupted in that thread it may have just been deleted all together.

I found it already, no arguments there, if you can believe that. I don't make it a habit of arguing with folks, honest.
I've been searching for at least one hour a thread I've seen a few weeks ago that gives us three links on videos wich learning us the technique of how to spray paint. I can't find it with the search function. Help!
My suggestion is to search using single words like "spray" or "paint", and keep trying using different words. Don't forget to check the archive box, it can't hurt and you may find other stuff that's useful.
Not to completely geek out, but knowing a bit about the database this forum software uses, the searches will only work for four-letter words and up, which is why the abbreviations like EFI aren't working. However, you should be able to quote the terms (ex. "low profile" instead of low profile, which is treated as two separate words) to get a better search.
They could change the setting, but it would likely degrade the speed of all searches.
P.S.: Don't ask any more about it unless you REALLY want to know, because I just might tell you!

I'd sacrifice some speed for accuracy if the time wasn't ridiculous.

Search used to get three-letter words, it was apparently changed a few months ago.
