Default Pulling the Engine

I would like to pull the engine out of my 1975 coupe. Can I pull it with the manual trans still attached?

Thanks Danny

Yes, but you run into room issues a lot easier. When pulling both together, while it can be done, it's easier to take the hood off and go at it from more of a forward angle.

That is the way I did it. Remove hood, radiator, and radiator support and you have plenty of room.

I've got pictures on my website pulling 454 w/ manual trans out of my 72.

You need an engine leveler.
I pulled and installed engine/trans by myself.

Allow lots of room in front of your Vette. My garage wasn't big enough so I had to push the car back after the trans cleared the body.

I did my 75 by myself with the engine/transmission attached. I removed the right front wheel and positioned the hoist to the side.

I did the same as TopGunn. As the engine clears the radiator support I start pulling the hoist towards the front. Once the pans clears and the tailshaft is past the firewall then just level it out and pull it across the fender. A leveler is definitely needed. I usually remove and install the engine/tranny as a unit. It's just easier to get the clutch aligned and everything torqued properly when it is out of the car.
