i wanted to swap out brake pads and ended up replacing the whole brake system. something about these cars makes you want to do it right.....which leads to alot more time spent then you would have on any other project car.

I think we are all there. The last project was bad spindle then was trailing arms and spindles now its trailing arm spindles and yokes. I think I need new rear leaf and shocks and traling arms, spindles, and yokes. Oh might as well do new break lines, trailing arms, spindles, yokes, shocks ,leaf sping, and ujoints. My wife doesnt seem to want to know anymore. I just get the whatever look.

I think they just dont understand what it takes to restore a 30 year old car and not cut to many corners.

Best Regards

Thanks! It was my first time working with bondo and as you can see I used WAY to much. I just wanted a nice smooth firewall like the ones on street rods. I took out the washer bottle & lines and also hid the headlight door vacuum hoses too..........

No way man....

This was the job from hell. If only I'd known what I was doing...

But it in the end it was worth all of the cussing & bouts of depression... ..

My fiance's told me that I'm not allowed to tinker with my vette...
She still remembers the VW I "Just needed to fix some body rust" on. It's still disassembled in the shed 4 years later...

I cleaned my engine bay up a bit and someone told me about some hi temp paint from Eastwood. Well I wanted it to look nice so I started by removing the manifolds to paint them up right. Then I saw what a mess it was to get to the plug wires so I changed them. Well The alternator needed a little touch up......crap, I hope I'm done tomorrow.
