Default Wheel size on 1970

I am in the beginning stages of restoring a 1970 BB.

I am upgrading the suspension, brakes, offset rear trailing arms, C5 brakes upfront and the 15" stock rims/tires won't fit. Since this is a frame-off resto, I actually need to get rims/tires soon, so that we can put the rims/tires on, so that we have a movable rolling frame.

I was looking at putting C5 rims on the car. I like the look of the
OEM C5 Magnesium Wheels. The sizes are 17 x 8.5 front and 18 x 9.5 rear. Bolt pattern 5 x 4.75.

I will need at least 17" rims up front for the upgraded C5 brakes to fit.

Has anyone swapped these C5 rims/tires onto their C3? Any other considerations that I need to know? any clearance issues?

Oh, for those interested.....I am putting a fuel injected 502 w/ a Tremec 5 spd in the car.

You'll need 2.5" wheel adapters both front and back to make up for the backspacing. Try and find a set that are hub centric so the wheels and adapters rest on the lip of the hub instead of the studs.
