Changing interior color
Got a 77 and thinking about changing from blue interior to black. I'll buy the seats or covers and carpet but curious as to how well the spray dye works for the door panels, dash pad, etc. I know that the prep is critical to the have good end product but how well does the dye hold up? Peeling, fading, and does it look like it's painted?

I changed my interior from dark saddle to black, and have been very pleased with the results. I used acetone or lacquer thinner to clean the panels before I sprayed them with rattle cans from Pep Boys. The end product is very nice!

I'm doing this on my Firebird, going from light blue to black. Just take the time to properly clean the old panels and the results are quite good. Spray several light layers instead of one thick layer.
