My Project

1977 L82 – close ratio 4 spd, 3.70 rear, Gymh suspension
95k but has sat for 3 years. #’s match.

Rear trailing arms replaced 3 years ago.
Fiberglass rear spring installed

I will be storing the original engine and trans.

Replacing with 350/400hp from YearOne 3000.00
Unsure what to do about trans yet, 5 speed w or w/o OD?

New shocks – Bilstein?
Front springs – replace with mono fiberglass – from VBP it comes with control arms.
Rack and Pinion steering. – Steroids?

Is the mono front spring with the rack and pinion a good combo? Other done this?

Replace brake booster and master cylinder?
Drop gas tank? Clean out?
Replace brake lines? Rubber portion already replaced
Replace fuel lines or just blow out?
Replace all rubber hoses/clamps
Replace motor/trans mounts
Replace all bushings
Replace carpets and seats.

Calipers replaced 3 years ago (sat since)

Remove front end - replace w/one piece front clip.

pull the nose and undo the four front body mounts. It ought to come right off with some miscellaneous wires and nuts here and there. The complete front clip should fetch some pretty good dollars. Somebody up there should want it. Looks like you got a good head start. Definitely Bilstein sports shocks.

Default Jeep Steering Box vs Concept One

Concept One also has a steering box, Corvette America. Advertised as a bolt in change. Has anyone done a comparison? No hijack intended.

My question is. Why do you have to replace the nose? The one you have looks good. It is a lot of work to re set a new one. If it is damaged the repairs are easier.
