Removing Weatherstrip
I am doing final prep for paint in the next week or so. I have purchased new weatherstripping, but I can't seem to figure how to get that 12" strip at the rear of the door frame (seals rear of side window) off. It seems to be attached to a piece of metal that is riveted to the fiberglass door frame.
Can anyone help me out here?

The strip is grooved and slips inside the metal piece. There is a rivet at the bottom of the rubber that has to be drilled out and replaced. It's hard to see but it is there. You don't have to remove the metal strip.The top of the rubber usually has some sealing gunk on it and someone may have glued the rubber in if it has been replaced before. This is not necessary!
