Default stock center caps

i resently cleaned the center caps that i purchased used and there are numbers inside i have a 2 ,a 3 , and double 4;s , are they supposed to be numbered 1 thru 4 and what position do they go, they cam off a stock low mileage 69 that i purchased from the original owner, they are going on my 72 coupe

if you are talking about center caps for rally wheels they can go on any wheel

What ever you do, don't put the #2 in the #4 position!!!

no i;m not really an idiot but when cleaning them i noticed the numbers on the inside besides the part numbers each was numbered i was wondering if there was any signifance to these numbers as to which position on the car they went to, thanks again

Probably had something to do with the machine tooling that produced them for record keeping purposes.
