Default Rebuilt Windshield Washer Motor

I've put a new W/S Wiper motor in (rebuilt) (69 coupe) and have been testing it. It has all new wiring, and I believe is connected properly. All of the functions including the washer appear to be working properly. For some reason, after several cycles, a little smoke comes out of the motor (near the bottom/ back). I've run it a few times to see if any of the wires in or out are hot, but everything appears normal. Nothing is hot. The motor is not connected to the wipers, so there's no load on the motor that would cause it to over heat.

Could this be a faulty motor, something burning off after the rebuild process? Anyone seen this before?
Thanks
pj

There was a sticker on the rebuilt wiper motor installed in my 68, and it did mention some smoke from the motor during the first hour or so of use was a normal part of the rebuild process.

Thanks for the info. I guess I don't have much choice but to see what happens from here!
