2004R Shifter Cable??
How did you guys hook up the shifter cable? Does it go forward and loop back? I just went to install my original cable and the end of the cable is WAY forward of the linkage arm?

Each trans has a different cable bracket to match the holes in the oil pan. I used the original cable when I did my conversion but the bracket had to be replaced to match the 200-4R. I got the bracket with the trans from BTO. It had several holes/slots in it so I think it was made to fit either the 200 or the 700. I place the shifter in park possition and then attached the cable tothe trans shift bracket. Then I attached the cable bracket to the trans by the oil pan bolts.
The cable does go toward the front as it comes off the shifter and it loops back and then loops forward again to attach to the trans.
