Well, I finally got all the parts to finish my Demon swap today. The carb is on, electric choke is working great. I have not had time to take it for a drive yet .. that will be later this afternoon.
So now I need an air cleaner setup. I like the K&N filters and really like the new X-stream Air Flow Top that they have. I think that would would well with the cowl induction on my 74.
Summit shows "Complete X-Stream Air Flow Assemblies" with different heights and an available "drop base". Does this mean that the filter would sit below the air horn? I don't think with will work on the Demon because of the fuel bowls.
So, what have you guys used? Also, what do I do about the air intake for the PCV system? And how long of a stem do I need?
My setup is 350 block, Torker II low rise intake, Speed Demon 650, and stock L-48 hood.
I bought the K&N top and filter and used the stock base on my 73. I have the Holley 4175 spreadbore and added a 1/2" spacer on the top for the air cleaner to work.
Re: Air Filter System for Demon Carb? (redwingvette)
I bought an air cleaner made by Proform, http://www.proform.com, bought it thru Summit Racing, 800-230-3030. Check out the pic on my web site for a better look.
