Default lt1 swap

im looking at doing the swap in my 80 looks like i got most of my answers but i still have a couple of ?'s

1-looks like i want an lt1 out of the a vett for the acc.'s will that take care of the problem of the a/c compressor getting in the way or is that a problem no matter what the engine comes out of and ifso what can i do about it to keep a/c

2-which place have the best price and best wiring harness for the swap

and any more info or links would be great,i thought it was an old sticky about it but i cant find it

1-yes, the C4 accessory setup is easiest for swapping.
2-Best price is probably Painless, but I would recommend Howell or Street& Performance.

I can't speak from experience, but a C4 has the compressor high like the stock C3. That makes the problem of the compressor hitting the right motor mount less likely. Both the F-body and B-body LT1 brackets have the compressor low and right.
