Default hood stuck

I have a problem with my hood it wont open on drivers side the catch releases but it wont pop up does anyone know of a way to loosen and of the bolts on any part of the hood to get some movement so help let it slip past the post

Read some archives and you'll find you can use something thru the vent grills or possibly a screwdriver thru a wiper area hole.

Yes, I have loosened all 4 of the hinge bolds by reaching up from under the front of the car. You can fit a box wrench on them through there.

thanks I havent reallyy tried that as of yet looked but on drivers said there no way but will try I have a 69convertable also a/c and power windows just rebuilt my motor new cam pistons fods heads which are now alum. patriot heads stainless valves weiand manifold, keith black
pistons eljein cam 465 lift intake 488ex 224 234 duration kept all the old stuff of course

His issue is NOT that it won't unlatch - he said it does - but it is stuck (as in out of alignment) as they can do if everything (both "teepees") is not aligned correctly.

It's not something that is obvious - you need to stick your arm up there and feel around - once you get your bearings, it will be clear that you can indeed put a wrench on all 4 bolt heads. I did it when I reassembled mine because one side was catching the teepee on the latch hole - which it sounds like yours is doing.

yes it seems the hood is out of alignment only the drivers side wont pop up apears to be caught on teepee

thanks again for info I got hood to pop up still couldnt get to drivers hinge but was able to prop up hood and reach under hood and unbolt drivers teepee
