Anyone heard of Prestige High Performance Engine builders? They are offering a 350/391 HP turn key for $3477 They claim to use Edelbrock, Comp, GM, Ect. Parts and give a 2 yr warranty. Performance Unlimited is at least $1500 more for the same Hp. I don't have a lot of experence and don't need to buy from someone that has had issues just to save a few bucks. I am not rich enough to buy somethnig cheap. Thanks
I have never heard of them ... But I would like to know how it turns out just in case I need to use them. Keep us all posted. The price sounds realy good for the HP out put.
i looked for 2 months for 383 @ bought from engine fractory it was fair price for full roller with 460 hp they were very prompt @ i got my motor 2 weeks early @ had a lot of extras thrown in @ thay said if any problems thay wuold pay return shipping always remember you get what you pay for pete
I bought an engine from them for my 69. It arrived on time, but with the wrong water pump, a leaky front timing cover, Missing oil galley plugs and no oil filter spin on attachment. They refused to pay for the timing cover repair and would not respond to my queries about my claim.
I have around 6,000 miles on the engine, but I just don't trust it. Some time back a Phoenix member snapped some pics of their facility. It looked pretty shady.
Like you say, they send lots of extra's, but I haven't seen any satisfaction on their warranty. I would not recommend buying from them. I would go with a GM crate motor or maybe an engine from John Barrett.
