Another overdrive trans conversion question
What is involved in converting to each of the overdrive transmissions? What costs are involved in doing each?
I have an 81 that the computer is gone from already. I beleive my trans is a Turbo 350.

I have a friend that has a 200r4 and a 700r4. He said I could have either for a favor he owes me. They both are good working units. I really want an overdrive for mileage as I spend a lot of time on the highway but don't want to go to anymore trouble and/or expense then necessary. I really don't know anything about this swap other then a shifter kit is available from Eckler's.
I guess my big questions are
1. What drive shaft do I use or will I need to get/make a special one?
2. What crossmember do I use or will I need to get/make a special one?
3. Will the speedo cable hook up the same?
4. Will I have issues with the dipstick?
5. Will my turbo 350 flexplate work with the new trans?
6. What exactly do I do about the fact that I don't have a computer on this car?
Anything else I should know?
I have been watching another thread but they are starting with a turbo 400 and I am sure the swap is a lot different. I have searched the forum also and while I have found a few threads about how the swap was done I have not found 200r4 and 700r4 swaps compared.
