Well i usually dont, but as i was getting on the garden state parkway, i saw those impossible to miss headlight of one, and once on the parkway he flew over 3 lanes to pass a car in the middle lane to come up next to me....
So we drove side by side for a few secs...he had all the typical ricey equipment like the 3 gauge pod and a HUGE autometer tach, and lots of stickers on the car near the 5.0 emblem. So usually i dont street race but this person (thinking it was a kid cause he was taunting me a lot) was getting at me...so i said the hell with it since there were no cars around at all.
I gave it a nice hit going 70 to let him know i was ready to play....and let right back off....he punched it and i did right after that...he had about a half car length once i got going....pulled past him completely in about 5 seconds....backed off and he started going like 50 mph.....i was screaming to myself "WHAT A BABY!" at this point cause he wouldnt even come near me then....So finally i was going like 60 and he came along side once again. WE both went right at it. This time he kept up a little better and took me a little longer to get a car length on him....
Anyway, i dont think this mustang was too stock considering he almost kept up...i wonder what was in it?? Maybe a vortech or powerdyne SC??
oh well....in any case, the c3 won!! :cheers:

As for toying with the 5.0's...I usually don't, but they always toy with me, but never go beyond that...at least around here they know their place behind vette...right next to the ricers...as those are the only people they will race...

yeah i dont toy with them either usually....i mean they run like 15's usually, but this one looked a little hopped up, so i said why not....definitely worth the time to race this once....others..probably not

Hey! I happen to be one of those 5.0 kids! yeah but i know where i stand in the line of things at least. But at least i dont drive a ricer, its an american made V8. by the way we raced our 1969 350/300 Vette against my 93 5.0 and yes he did beat me.

LemansBluevert69, i got no problem with the 5.0's actually.....my dad has a 90 5.0 as his ever day driver and love taking it for a cruise...i got this one a lot of credit tho for giving me a good run!

Unlike you guy i found some rust on the floorpan. So Pat406 and I are install 2" drop floorpans for more head room
