Headlight Switch ?
I'm redoing the interior on my '70 and one of the things I wanted to fix was to replace the missing headlight switch outter bezel. Simple enough with the upper dash pad removed to access it and remove the pull **** by pushing the detent button. I put the bezel on and reinstalled the shaft, but now it pulls all of the way out and no lights. Blinkers and brakes still light up.
The push detent button was in the up (12 o'clock) position when I got to it. Is this correct or should it be at 9 o'clock?
What am I missing to lock the shaft back in the switch?
