my 74 has this switch not sure what its for . will post pic . i still see no pic . its a switch just above the gages to the left not sure what its for .it does not a thing when i move it

yes that is the pic just above the gages to the left im not sure what thats for i just bought the car and the whether is bad here so its in storage and i haven drove it but about 60 miles and i have to put a heater core and a set of taillights in her. im just tring to figer her out before i really get behind the wheel .so im all to any info of what i sould watch out for or should know its my first corvette so im new to her.
The lever moves a mechanical baffle that appears to divert air to either (a) the vents just above the gauges or (b) the dash opening just below the windshield. My example is an A/C model.
I'd suggest this to anyone:
Get yourself either a copy or or an original Owner's Manual for your year, make & model ... they're usually on fleabay for $10 - $20.
