Default what is this

my 74 has this switch not sure what its for . will post pic . i still see no pic . its a switch just above the gages to the left not sure what its for .it does not a thing when i move it

On my 69 it is the seat belt acknowledge light...comes on when you start engine...you just push button to shut off...



Click on vid..you hear my elec fuel pump in background..

You do know that there is a cheap bezel out there to cover up the bases of the old radio posts, right?

Assuming 74 is the same as 73, it is not an electrical switch. It is just a lever that controls the air flow out the center ducts.

The lever moves a mechanical baffle that appears to divert air to either (a) the vents just above the gauges or (b) the dash opening just below the windshield. My example is an A/C model.

I'd suggest this to anyone:
Get yourself either a copy or or an original Owner's Manual for your year, make & model ... they're usually on fleabay for $10 - $20.
