Have any of you guys tried that one piece "AstroTop" that I've seen advertised in the magazines??? Looks pretty good but I haven't seen one on a car yet!!!
Mike
I got one for my 79 about 4 years ago. Although it looks like a great idea, in reality, its a POS: Leaked like hell where the side widows meet the top, about the front 3 inches. The weather strip on the sides of the top are hollow, with a little strip of plastic inside. Very bad seal
I have the Two piece astro tops... Seem to work great but they came on the car, so I don't have much to compare to. They do seem less fragile than glass.
BOUGHT ONE FOR MY 80 JUST DROVE IT ONE DAY THOUGH, SO I CANT TELL U ABOUT ANY LEAKS BECAUSE MY CAR HAS BEEN ON JACK STANDS SINCE THEN BUT I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH IT GOOD PRODUCT FOR THE PRICE..   :jester
The one piece top is cheap and flimsy.
Save some money and aggrivation. Get a set of "real" glass T-tops if thats what you are looking for. :yesnod:
If you are still set on the Astro-Top, I will sell you one for half price. (It's been on the car once. Then, put back in the storage bag.) The only catch is you have to wait until I get back to Houston. (2 or 3 months)
