just where it actually attaches to the arm, pedal itself. VERY little room to get your head down there to actually see. From feeling around it appears to be a cotter-pin like system holding the pedal on. When it's really loose I can reach under and feel a pin and can push it back in through the holes on the back of the pedal, but there is nothing to hold the pin in it's place.
Before I try too hard and possibly break something, can someone describe what I'm feeling and let me know what is needed to fix it?
I really don't see how I'm going to be able to visually fix this issue with the little clearance so I may need to feel this one out.
I don't recall the pin having a clip or anything holding it in. There should be a spring on the pedal to keep it in the upright position. There is only 2 bolts holding the pedal assembly in. If you remove the two bolts you will be able to turn the assembly over and see what is worn. To remove it completly there is just a small plastic ferrell/bushing that pushes out of the top and releases the throttle cable. You can then put the whole assembly on the workbench. I know it is tight in there but it is doable.
