That is like the starter I have in my car. Mine is a GM starter but this looks exactly like it and is probably just a knock off of the $$$ GM starter. That is an excellent price on it. I got mine for 100 and I thought it was a bargain.
You should have a turbo 400 in your car which does have a 168 tooth flywheel.

Yes it is a TH400 - sorry for missing that bit.
This seems a bit cheap to me - are these things reliable ??????????

Jeremy.
Yes. GM has used them for years in many applications including trucks. Mine has been in for at least 6 years now. This does seem real cheap seeing the GM ones are retail priced in the 200 range. This might be a cheap knock off so be careful.
Be careful during the removal of the old starter - mark all of your wiring.
I've seen several wiring errors at the starter. The ground for the windshield wiper motor and air conditioning connects at the starter and is occasionally miswired to the hot terminal.
I just made the mistake of ordering one of these cheap supposedly GM starters. I immediately sent it back. The terminals were unmarked and offset so you could not tell what to hook up where. The mount bolt holes were very large and the bolts slopped around in them. Stock Gm have knurled bolts that fit snug in the holes. You can imagine the torque on these bolts and the need to fit snugly. The packaging and unit did not have any name or address of manufacture on them. Not even "Made in China". They must have been really embarressed.
After two purchases, I had my old one rebuilt, and I am now happy.
Thought tha twas very cheap. Stick with the GM mini starter. Maybe a few more $$$ but well worth it and much lighter and smalller. No heat soak either.
Gordon, the one I bought I thought was GM. But, after getting it and re-reading the ebay ad carefully, I missed the "GM style" small print. Delco Remy and other GM trademarks all over the ad, but somehow it was not the real thing. .
