Want to buy a set of junkyard steel rims with tires that will fit onto my 1971, while I complete restoration. Need rims that will adequately clear the disc brake calipers and rotors. Will the full size GM 15X7 steel rims work?

Pretty sure the older full size Chevy rims have 5" bolt pattern(familiar with 70-78 at least). Need 4 3/4" for Vette.

I rolled my 82 around on the 15 x 7 steel wheels off my old S10 Blazer. The bolt pattern is correct and they cleared the brakes just fine. I even have one under my corvette as a spare.

I'd say any wheel from a 2wd 82 - 92 S10, S15, Sonoma, S15 Jimmy or S10 Blazer will work....and there are plenty of those in the junkyards
