Jackson - Please help with BBC Crank advice
I believe the crankshaft in the engine is the Forged L-88 crank (only # I could fine is: EDAA-124). The mains are 10 under, but the rod journals are 60 under. They have Clevite C series bearings in it now and I can still get these in 60 under. The bearing wear is very even and cosistent across all of the rods, with no unusual wear. I plastigaged a couple and they came up at .003.
The machine shop told me that strength would not be an issue at 60 under with this crank. They indicated that the bearings could compress, however, due to the large size. Little Mouse suggested I solicit your advise.
Any real problems here putting in new 60 unders and using it? I plan to drive this on the street and would like to get at least 450 HP out of it.
Thanks for your assistance.

.060" under on a forged crank for a 450 HP engine, esp one that's already run successfully, doesn't concern me. If you were building from scratch there's lots of forged 3.76 stroke cranks out there to choose from, but for your situation I see no reason to replace what's already functioning fine.
