Default Help, Wire loose, where does it connect to?

I am a new corvette owner and just need some help on this.
I have this green wire loose (check pic it it near firewall hanging) and I was hoping you guys could let me know where it should be connected to. I am posting a few picks of where it begins.
Also please let me know what the name of the part where the wire is coming from.
I appreciate your help.

maybe the TCS switch which is mounted in the passenger side head.... look below the exhaust manifold on that side and towards the firewall... I think it is between the 3rd and 4th spark plug back... if that is what it connects to then you don't want to hook it back up. It's useless. You might want to get some wiring diagrams from DocRebuild... they trace all the wiring in color and connector.... you will need them

HTH,

HTH,

That is exactly what it is, and where it should be connected to.....the part that should be in the head is called the TCS temperature switch, and the part up on the manifold is called the TCS solenoid.

Guys thanks for the response.
Just curious though, why do I not want to hook it up?

Originally your car used the TCS system to help with smog, and they used ported vacuum, that wire was part of the system, if you look at picture # 2 there is nothing connected to the vacuum port on the part above and to the left of the carb, this is also part of that system, so it appears that you now have the distributor hooked to manifold vacuum so it doesn't matter if you connect the green wire or not since the TCS system has been bypassed.
