Default 69 Door Gap

My 69 drivers side door has a 3/8" gap on the bottom and a 3/4" gap on the top where the door meets the convertible top. The front of the door is fine. Could it be that since this is a convertible that body mount #4 has dropped and is causing this gap. If I replace the mount bushings and bolts will it correct the problem. If not whats causing this. Thanks in advance.

How long have you had the gap?
Is the frame rusted?
Has the car been up on a lift?

Default 69 Door Gap

I've had the car 3 years. The car has been on a lift and the frame looks to be fine. It sort of looks like that corner dropped. As I was looking more closely there is a small crack where the sill plate meets the rear pillar post on the bottom. Thanks for the response

I replaced my frame 20 years ago because of rust and one of the simptoms was the increased gap in the door to rear panel. The frame was really rusted in that area and it would be obvious if you look at your frame. Hopefully you have a lesser problem.
