Your Serpentine kit was, I suppose, the same one shown in the GM Performance Parts catalog. That Serpentine kit was standard production line equipment for the 1991 and 1992 Firebirds and Camaros. The water pump is reverse rotation, so you'll need a fan clutch and fan used on the reverse rotation pumps. So, a clutch and fan from a 1991 or 1992 Firebird/Camaro should work. The Serpentine kit was a "long" water pump - no interference problems with the original fan shroud and your new pump/fan?

I use an electric fan (Spall) and a Be-Cool aluminum radiator. Dont' have any heating problem. I also installed a Billet Specialities thermostate housing. It had an amazingly restricted internal passage way. It would not have allowed adequate coolant flow. I ground out the inside and greatly increased it's flow capability. If you're using a stock thermo housing, flow through the housing should be OK.
