Default t-top disassembly

Hey guys,
I'm getting my 68 stripped down to go to the painter. The paint was original and i used a razor to get it down to factory primer.I've got all the chrome off except for the trim around the t-tops.I messed with them today [removed four screws under weatherstripping]but it dosn't seem to want to come off. Also should i remove the headliner? How far should i take these down, and how do i go about it.

Thanks in advance
Dave

You need to remove all the rubber, under it you will find some rivets that you will need to drill out that secure the chrome trim to the top. The tops also have a very slight ridge around them for the chrome to fit snug, do not sand that ridge away.

Any recomendations for how far to take these down? Is taking the weatherstripping and trim far enough? What about the headliner?

That chrome trim comes off with a paint paddle and a hammer try not to bend it cause I don't think anyone makes replacements thats the outside trim I'm talking about
