Hey Tripp,
I don't think so. In my old '78 I ran a LT-1 intake with a Holley 750DP and I had to remove the hood insulation and use a drop base Moroso air cleaner, even with that I only had 1/16" of clearance.
Thanks Scott, I'm building a 400 for my 79 and the RHS heads have intake ports for the 1205 felpro gasket, which are too tall for a performer or stock intake. I was hoping to get away with using the stock a/cleaner assembly, but I can go with the drop base if I have to.
I had to use a Moroso Low Profile (drop base) aircleaner to get the Performer RPM Q-Jet to fit under my '75 hood. Had to dimple the base a little for the accelerator pushrod lever but a 3" aircleaner fits with about 3/4" of clearance (you can see where I dimpled the base in the second photo).

On my 77 I have a performer intake, Demon carb, 1 inch HVH spacer and a Moroso drop base and have about 1/16 clearance. if you have a medium rise hood like on the late 70s and a drop base you could potentially run a victor jr. intake.
