Default Help ! Tranny Guys !

Im trying to hook up my tranny cable but i think im missing a piece sumwere in the set up ! Its a turbo 400 does any body have a pic of the bracket and cable hooked up ? I know or i think there is a bracket towards the rear of the tranny and one in the front with the cable starting at the rear and connecting at the front ! Any help would be great thanks guys

Thanks for the photos , but the bracket im trying to figure out is the one in the back ! In ur photos theone with the cable going up is that the parking brake ? Mine does not have that or maybe its not hook up !Thanks it helps a little since its never been hooked up so im in the dark lol !

the cable that comes from the front connects to the steering shaft. this locks the steering column when in park... the rear cable goes to the shifter. this has a small adjuster bolt to correct the shifter to the trans... place in drive put trans in drive. tighten adjuster bolt and check the feel of trans and shifter to make shure yr in total gear when the shifter is in place.
Its better recomended that you take the pan off to conferm the shift **** is better seated .

the brackets, thers one in the front left corner,this is for the coulum cable, the outer shielding connects there.and the other bracket is for the shift **** that comes out of the trans. this connects both the shifter and coulum cabel. the shifter cable outer sheilding goes in the back of this connection,I have a 75 with a th-400, just replaced with a new 200-r4
