I beleive a 75 thru 79 will work If it is a automatic. If it's a 4 speed you need to find a 4 speed frame or just buy Z bar piece and weld it to the frame.

My 2 cents

If the frame is that rusted you should check rocker channel, body mounts and more important, the birdcage before buying a frame. Pull the kick panels and look inside, if rusted through areas are visible you should probably skip swapping the frame.

Should be able to find frame up to 79 to fit and I would look for the later years with the removeable cross member. Sure makes a tranny pull easier.

Default Free frame

There is a man on these forums that has a free C3 frame. All you have to do is go get it; just south of DFW down in TX.

I think it is very helpful to have all the people that know so much more than me to give tips and make my experiance with my new challenge that much better.....If anyone knows the person with the frame in Texas, please let me know. I am searching but haven't found it as of yet.........Greg

Look in C3 Parts. I saw the thread there this afternoon. If that one isn't available it should be fairly easy to find one. The older chrome bumper frames are much more of a challenge.

Steve,

We have a complete (no suspension) frame from a 1979 for 500.00 and might be within driving distance for you.

You can call sales tomorrow at 800-588-3883 to inquire about it.

Heck, 400.00 for a forum member if you want it! I want it out of my building!
