There is a new Harbor Freight outlet here in Raleigh... might take a look at the puller today. Mine cost $50 as well (I was in a jam, paid too much). You have to watch both Harbor Freight & Northern Tools... a lot of their stuff is junk. Just picked up the O-ring & c-clip packages and the quality is extremely poor. I buy a lot of items from both of them, but I'm skeptical and careful each time I go there. There is a Northern Tool outlet here as well.
I just stopped by the Harborfreight here in Charlotte, and man is that a great store. I was almost crying I was so happy see all those tools for so cheap. I purchased a torque wrench for $11.00 on sale. I think I will be a regular in that store. Do they have a frequent buyer program :)
I agree with tom454. Harbor freight is a fun store, but be aware of cheap imitations. They have good deals on name brand power tools, but sometimes that deal is for a reconditioned tool. I usually stick to name brand hand tools, and they have plenty of deals on those. Some things are good if you only plan to use it once or twice.Just use a little common sense, and don't let all those cool tools cloud your judgement.
