Default side ehaust on my 80

Just though I would share this photo of Factory side exhaust w fiberglass covers on an 80 I sold a while ago. The covers are painted very silver w black pinstriping in between the fins on the cover (hard to see). Then clearcoated. Check out the rear wing and lower Quarter skirts. I prefere this side exhaust because of the originality and I prefere my skin where it is now on my leg, not on the pipes. Although I see lots and they all look great.

I now have an 81 w all new VBP springs/shocks and the rear trailing arms/bearings are at VanSteele now beeing rebuilt. Did motor/4speed/rearend last winter. Need to get rid of the 2 into 1 into 2 exhaust. Was thinking conventional duals w "X" pipe and magnaflows for a change. But my heart wants the sides. Lets see how it shakes out. I'll post some pics this spring when done.

I'm not sure if this will post my pic, I'll try.

I would love to put side pipes on my 81. Ever run into problems with emissions? Sorta advertizes that your cat is gone.
