Default Heat Riser Spacer question

I have a '76 and bought the 2 1/2 dual exhaust from Corvette Central. Still using the Ramhorns so the system goes from 2" to 2 1/2". I reused the original heat riser valve on the new exhaust system but I'm thinking of replacing that with one of those "Heat Riser Spacer" . CC sells 2 sizes of Spacers 2" & 2 1/2". Has anyone used these and do they fit OK?

They look like they are not the same width as my original heat riser valve but it's hard to tell by pictures. Also, I guess I would use the 2" Spacer since the space goes between the Ramhorn and the 2" exhaust. Thanks for any input!

I used one from Zip on 70. When you get it you will see the inside is not perfectly round as all they did was omit with flap. Spend 15 minutes with a dremel and open it up a little bit.

Mine fit fine. well worth getting rid of the riser

I took my heat riser valve to the local "good ole boy" exhaust shop. For a box of Krispy Kremes, he knocked out the flapper and braised the holes closed. Looks stock....nothing inside it!

Heat risers do have a habit of sticking, and always in the closed position. When I first drove my vette after purchase noticed a blued bumper on the driver side and a cool bumper on the passenger side before removing the spring to keep it open.
