Default Idler arm question

I bought a new Idler arm and it came with a foam cusion washer. I assume it goes between the idler arm and the steering rod. Is there supposed to be a plastic and rubber washer to go between the idler arm and the sterring rod?

I have seen those come with a ruber seal, like on a ball joint, and sometimes they come with that foam piece. whitch ever one it came with you should be fine. It just keeps dirt out.

I bought the Idler arm from zips , it shows the rubber gasket and the plastic washer as an extra order #. but it gave the black sponge washer with the kit. If you needed the rubber and plastic one you would think it would come with the new arm?
