Yeah he sent that to me too. Very nice cuts. He's going to fold the flaps down and put tape over them while the engine warms up. From there he will open and close them one at a time, adjusting each set of rockers until the clicking is found or fixed.

I can't seem to find them anymore, and I have never actually seen any in person, so I am guessing not many were sold, but Mid America used to sell some SBC aluminum valve covers that had removable tops. I always thought those would cut down on the splash on the headers or exhaust manifolds while adjusting the rockers. As I recall, they were fairly proud of them which would account for the low sales volume.

Yea, I remember those, haven't seen them in a Long time tho. I suppose you could make a pair, but given the effort for how many times you actually Need to adjust the valves it doesn't seem worth the effort. But I thot they were cool

there were some on ebay the other day. Two pieces, top center portions could be taken off to adjust rockers. Brushed aluminum look.

That's an old hot rodder trick. Just go to a junk yard and get some old SBC or BBC valve covers and cut the tops off. Better yet get some of these:

TEXT:Keep that oil where it belongs when adjusting your rocker arms with this set of 8 stamped steel oil deflectors. This set includes a clear plastic bag for better storage
