I'm looking for best value/bang for the buck. My car spend's most of time in the garage (when it's not being driven) - just looking for something that won't fall apart and to keep the dust off . I've been looking at Eckler's and Mid America's selection, just to put things into perspective.
The flannel lined cotton covers are probably the best (softest) if you never plan to use the cover outdoors. You can also machine wash them.
If you plan to occassionally use the cover outdoors, I would recommend a cover made with the Evolution 4 fabric or the one with the Noah fabric. Both these provide real good protection against acid rain and other outdoor elements (Noah being the best). You can also use these indoors.
I bought an Evolution 4 cover. My '72 stays garaged the majority of the time. Plus I got a good deal on my cover at the time.
If you live in a very dusty/windy climate you might not want a cover. If dust blows up under it and then the wind flaps the cover, it will sand the high points of your car...leaving noticeable sanded areas in your paint...
That's why I don't have a cover here in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Too much wind and too much dust. Oh, and since there are not garages here, I park outside...and wash her once a week. :smash:
