Default Emergency brake handle question

Is it possible to remove the black plastic grip on the emergency brake handle of a 75? Mine will move up and down a little, and I was wondering if it is possible to get it off to install the sliding seal?

you dont have to remove the handle to replace the sliding seal. The seal should have a cut in it at the top of the rectangular hole , so you can bend it to one side and then slide it around the lower part (chrome part) of the handle.

My replacement didnt have the 'cut' but I was still able to carefully persuade it around the handle.
