1976 Starter Wire Help Needed

1976 Starter Wire Help Needed
I need to know where I can locate the wire that comes from the ignition key switch to the small terminal on the selonoid. I heard that it was a purple wire, but can't seem to find where it comes through the firewall to the engine compartment. Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially if you have a picture of it. Thanks, and the car is a 1976 model

Brian, it literally exits the harness the starter. The harness goes up striaght up the firewall, across the top towards the drivers side then down to the fuseblock. The purple wire doesnt see daylight again until the fuseblock.

I have a '76 and my wire is in 2 pieces. It runs from the junction block on the left side front of dash (the opposite side of the fuse box) wrapped with other wires, runs behind between the wiper motor and the distributor, the purple wire comes out of the loom and has a female plug on it. From here a purple wire with a male end plug, runs from this point down to the starter. Don't believe me?......Zip Products has this wire and it's part # E-461....It's called a 75-77E STARTER HARNESS and yes, it's purple also.
