It would be hard for me to get over the price of the system. It isn't that it doesn't look cool, but can it really beat all inductions systems for performance? Call me a tight ***, but I think with a properly matched intake and single carburetor you meet or exceed anything this system will do for you based on the bang for a buck theory. In other words use the money you saved from not buying this system for something else on the car.
i have one on my BB chevy. like it and it looks cool and runs well. but my motor would have dynoed with more power with a single carb im sure. and saved me money, but it defineatly looks cool. if i were to do it again i would have saved the money and went with single carb.
Triple induction systems are meant for one thing...to look cool. For all intents and purposes their sole reason for being is advertising and promotion and making you feel like your equipped like John Holmes. I say that and I own a '69 427/435 L71 with factory three deuces.
Many tests have been run over the years showing a properly matched and set up four barrel system makes more power, is far simpler to live with and easier to keep adjusted.
The Barry Grant Six-Shooter is awesome looking and I'm sure it runs fantastic, but for the same money I'd rather install fuel injection, which is what I did on one of my cars.
Basically, it's your car and your money. If installing the three deuces makes you happy, go for it!

My recommendation would be to contact the vendor for questions about this product. As they are not a supporting vendor, they have no posting privileges and cannot respond to threads.
Unless you just want the looks I hardly doubt it will perform better than a single 4 barrel
I don't know about that. I changed out my tarantula intake and Holley double pumper for an old school rochester setup and it was much more responsive and got great mileage (over 20 MPG W/ 4 spd and 3.55 gears). I liked it so much I built a 816 CFM unit for my new 383. You might give up a few peak HP in some applications but throttle response and street manners are awesome! Look at the corvette 3X2 setups. They were rated higher HP than the 4 bbl's with all else being the same.

Makes sense to me that throttle response would be better than a single 4barrel as the fuel source is closer to each of the cylinders.
Here is some interesting information fron the Pontiactripower.com website:
Is a tripower better than a four barrel?
I take my information from the June 1995 issue of High Performance Pontiac. The article is entitled, "Four Barrel vs. Tri-power." The authors employed the services of Jim Taylor to assist. They took a well performing 68 GTO, 428 car, 4 speed with slicks. All launches were made at 1200 rpm and shifts at 5200. Car went throught the traps at 5400-5500 rpm.
The Q-Jet had was dialed in on the car. It was equipted with Edelbrock jets, rods, and high-flow needles. In other words, this carb was modified slightly to match the needs of the car.
The 66 tripower was stock except that the choke plate in the center carb was removed and the jets were replaced with 70s in the center and 72s in the ends.
Three runs were made with each set-up. Results:
- Q-Jet tripower
run 1 13.28/101.7 12.93/103.9
run 2 13.33/101.5 12.92/103.8
run 3 13.29/101.8 12.89/104.1
AVERAGE 13.30/101.66 12.89/103.93
The author calculates the 2.27 mph gain to a 22 hp gain over the 4 bbl. He attributes the gain to the tripower's shorter and straighter intake runners and its greater CFM flow.
So has anyone successfully fit this under their SBC hood? In the latest issue of Corvette Fever a guy fits this under his '62 hood using an air filter assembly from a '67 BB.
I'm definitely interested in running this set up, but its gotta fit under the stock hood. Anyone?
