Default Radiator & Core Support Replacement

'75 Automatic with a bad radiator and bad support.

I've got a new support from a '76, not sure early or late, that will need new feet and a new radiator on the way. I want to get started and get everything out so I when the radiator gets here I'm ready to put it back in.

Here is the plan:
Remove the hood.
Drain the radiator
Remove the fan
Pull the transmission lines
Pull the hoses
Remove the 6 side bolts
Remove the bottom 2 bolts
Pull the radiator, support and shroud as a single unit.

Then I'll remove radiator and shroud from support and compare the bad support with '76 support.

I've got a couple of questions:
1 - Am I missing anything?
2 - Do I need to provide additional support for the nose? My front bumper and retainer are off, but I put the bolts back in to the frame extensions (through the front of the body) to keep the nose aligned. Is that enough? Should I reinstall the '75 supports 6 side bolts until I'm ready to install the new parts? Do I need to reinstall all 8 bolts?
3 - Are there any other lines (vacuum, wiring, etc.) that run through the support I need to worry about?

Your plan sounds reasonable. There's a central support rod at the bottom center of the support as well.

Blue painters tape your fender and nose!!!! Fender support should be good..juts dont leave like that for weeks.

76L has different radiator attachments than 76E and they don't interchange. Make sure you have all the parts you need before you start.

What is the difference between the '76E & L?

I measured between the two lower u shaped support brackets and the distance is the same on both my supports.

This didn't go too bad. We got the hood off, radiator drained and radiator/shroud/support out in one piece in about 2 hours.

then we poped the pulleys and harmonic balancer. Need to replace the timing chain cover seals and balancer seal before I put this all back together.
