Which brackets do i need for a SB to BB swap?

Which brackets do i need for a SB to BB swap?
I need a PS and Alternator bracket so i can bolt them from my SBC to a BB. I have had a look at ecklers but there are many to choose from. Can anyone post some part numbers?

BB's bracketing is completely different than small blocks. The power steering pump drives the alternator via seperate belt. You need an assembly manual to create a stock set up. Other than that you just need to be your own engineer and design something that works.

If you use a long water pump any stock BB brackets will work. For years I ran a complete setup, alternator and power steering from the donor car. You need to run electric fans and get rid of the stock mechanical fan. My alternator and power steering pump were mounted on opposite sides and down low, well below the valve covers.

I went through this last winter when I did the swap you will require different PS, ALT, AC, brackets, different PS pump, different PS pump pulley, alt pulley, triple water pump pulley if AC equiped, different crank pulley, nothing from the SB will work, I got all my stuff from Paragon , I tryed to find them used for months finally said the heck with it and bought new.

Cole are you sure about needing a new PS pump and assembly? This is the first i have heard of it and I hate to have to add it to my list..... :confused:

Corvette world sells a complete bracket kit for around 150 dollars. I bought mine from them has all the PS and alternator brackets and bolts needed.

I agree with Superfast80, I was under the impression that all you needed was the power steering bracket and not the entire assembly.

I did this swap many moons ago and I reused my power steering pump and pulley, my alternator pulley. A little tweeking might be needed for perfect alignment but it has got to be cheaper then buying specialty stuff. Between my donor BB car, stock 350 and a little shimming everything worked. I did not have air. I also moved the alternator to the passenger side to uncover the power steering pump.

you need a PS pump from 74 down, the mounting bolts/studs are different on the new pumps. I bought one from a local auto parts store, it looks like the one I had but mounts the right way, beacuse it does not have the shorter round canister its a bit of a brute to fill, but not such a big deal as its not something you do very often.
