Even though there are many marketed rack systems out there, the complaints of brackets and adjustment problems with Steeroids, and now VBP as one of their own, apparently following the Steeroids bracket design, so I hear.....I wonder about overall issues with any of them.....I think Rack attack is a manual system using another type rack.....it maybe end take off....
IMO, from what I have seen, the main driver's side mounting brackets are not well done on any of the CTO rack installs I have observed...
I had a problem with my Steeroids bracket flexing so I spoke to Speed Direct and they immediately sent me a reinforced one. Excellent service but I did wonder why they had powdercoated reinforced brackets to hand, if as they said there were no problems normally with the original brackets.

I have no clue as to what/why with Steeroids problems, or IF any VBP rack will have similar problems, I just know when I inspected a display at the NCRS show last month I didn't think much of the main mount, as above....much less using 3 universals for input shaft, then two will doo.....as some of you know, back in '02 I put my own install of the Grand Am CTO rack into service, been there since....not any issues

Did you happen to get a good picture of the Steeroids reinforced bracketry?
I think the beauty of the VBP Rack Attack setup is the slip joint steering shaft coupler and it does away with the whole U-joint binding possibility. It hasnt been released with this slip joint as far as I know, Ive been in contact with Pattie, and they are still working it out.
Im in need of a some tie-rod end updating and want to take the op to upgrade to R&P steering.
Check out the previous thread on this which has a catalog page pasted to it with pics of the coupler.
