I just got new adjustable strut rods from Mid-America There is a R & L printed on the adjustment tube. I'm thinking right and left. If so, the R on the passangers side goes toward the spindal support and the L go towards the diff. The same for the other side?
Also each end is cocked and you can turn them in either direction. Which way do you want them
Not sure about the right and left thing, but the off-set ('angle') on the ends won't work like you have it in the picture. I'll look at mine when I go home for lunch, but I'd bet that one end has to be rotated 180 degrees so that the bolts are parallel, but the ends are off-set.
the driver's side of a car in normally referred to as the left side, the passenger side is the right side...so your strut that is marked left will attach close to the differential and the right will connect to the spindle...your other strut marked right will attach close to the diff and left to the spindle...hope this is clear
right and left might refer to the threads; right and left hand thrds are required for the thing to work. doesn't matter whether R or L is inboard or outboard, so you could orient them any way you like
edit: orient them same as the front, so that adjustment is the same

thread is marked r or l to mimimize chance of cross-threading at assembly...and you don't need locknuts on both ends...we use the same threaded tubes (but heim ends, not rubber bushings) on our circle track cars -- using only the R.H. locknut saves much confusion.
Plus you'll find when mounting it that the factory bracket and the adjustable bracket that mounts to the bottom of the diff has one offset hole for the 4 mounting bolts. You will not be able to mount it incorrectly. R and L refer to the threads of the adjustable part as stated
