I know this is a 5.7" powerded metal connecting rod used in the LT1. Will it work in a Generation 1 SBC (1973). I've searched but cut not find the specs for either the big or small end.
Thanks, Dean
P/N 10108688 is the number for a single GM powder metal rod. GM states that it is their replacement for the old "pink" rod for performance applications up to 450 HP.
The set of 8 is P/N 12495071 and you can find them for around $240ish. The only negative thing I've heard about them is that some shops have had difficulty rebuilding them, not sure why. Bottom line, yes you can use them anywhere a large journal (350) 5.7" rod is used, they are standard on GMPP crate engines.
