Hi, You need a new tach circuit board that is calibrated to read correctly for your year corvette . Most of the after market tach circuit boards are not calibrated, and do not work right when installed,if you have three insulating washer with it, well that is the kind that are not calibrated, call back the dealer and ask, or check around. Get in touch with ACECO here on the board. He fixed the electronic tach in my 79. It was reading way high and now reads correct.
