Default 76 wiper washer issue

This is sorta humerous.. ....I revamped my washer bottle/hoses and installed new washer motor to old washer bottle...When I hook up washer/wiper switch to motor and engage it...it either runs washer with no stopping (which gives the car a bath since my nozzels are not yet adjusted)BUT no wipers or when I reverse wiper switch around on its connector the wipers work fine BUT no washer......What the ....Is there a circuit board or relay that has me messed up???..I also have no high speed wiper.....Thanks,Pete

Were the wipers working correctly before you put in the new washer pump? I think your switch is the same as my 75. Plug it in with the dark blue wire to the left side. The dark blue wire gets grounded by the switch to turn on the washer pump. Should be a yellow wire to the pump also, it is 12 volt positive with the ign sw on. Be sure to ground the wiper switch when testing with it because it sends ground to the wiper motor and the washer pump.

The switch must be grounded. With the wiper switch off the center wire(black) should be grounded. On low speed, the center(black) and right wire(lt blue) should be grounded. On hi speed, the right wire(lt blue) should be grounded. When you push it in for washer, the left wire(dark blue) should be grounded. Check these with the key off so as not to get false readings through the wiper motor.

Thanks but unfortunately I do not have a right or left side...My whole dash is disassembled..I rigged my wiper switch with a tie-wrap to a wiring harness..When I tried my wiper switch in both directions it acted in 2 different ways..One way washer ON all the time...Other way with wiper switch 180 degrees around on its 3 prong connector wipers would work (low speed only).....BEFORE I did any of this I had no washer and no high speed on wipers...Thats when I revamped all hoses and washer motor...I am thinking washer motor may be the cause that is where circuit board is???....Sorry for the confusion ....Please help!....Thanks,Pete

There's not really a circuit board in this system. This pic should show how it's plugged in, run a temporary ground wire to the metal part of the switch housing.
You can also test it at the wiper motor. Unplug the switch. Turn key on, should be power at the yellow wire at the motor. Make sure there is a ground wire to the motor housing. Take a jumper wire and ground the lt blue wire, this should make the motor run on hi speed.

At the washer pump there should be a yellow wire that has power with the key on. The dark blue wire there will be grounded when you push the wash switch in.
